C-Pack

The C-Pack consists of two compressors: the C114 and the C212.

Both compressors’ gain reduction circuits are based off of new algorithms designed to minimize anti-aliasing distortion and pumping artifacts. They may use slightly more processing power than your basic compressors, but if you are looking for great, analog-like sound quality, it’s truly your only option. The release characteristics of the two compressors are designed to react in a similar way as the infamous LA-2A and LA-3A hardware compressors, but are also designed to react more precisely as you need them to, in order to insure that your release times match up well to the tempo of your tracks. Both compressors offer two different tube types: one with odd harmonics, the other with a x2 even harmonic.

The C114 Compressor is a tube simulated compressor that can vary from very fast attack and release times (5 ms each) to fairly slow attack and release times (300 ms for attack and 400 ms for release). Its great for everyday dynamic reduction.

The C212 Compressor is a tube simulated compressor that has a revolutionarily advanced gain reduction circuit. This new design minimizes pumping artifacts by using an algorithm that listens to loudness more like the human ear does, rather than just a stream of numbers. Its great for smoothing vocals and even as a master bus compressor.
