Sound file previewer
RapidPreview is a simple sound file previewer which can easily preview numerous number of sound files in a file browser format.Waveform can be displayed by opening AIFF and the WAV file with "WaveViewer", and arbitrary range can be selected while visualizing the waveform on a display. Selected part can be cut out to a new file and also can be saved in a specified file format and the sampling rate, etc.

For a bit of low impact fun, go to the flying bamboo site--You'll see that it's mainly in japanese. If you're in Safari, copy the URL and paste it into the google window to the right, go to google and use the translate this page function and read the english descriptions of the freeware programs. My personal fav is Select Palette. "Drug and Drop". Indeed.
